3D guided implant surgery:
a modern approach to dental prosthetics
As a holistic dental practice, we use state-of-the-art scientific methods for implant placement to restore your radiant smile. 3D-guided implant placement enables us to perform precise surgical procedures that are less invasive, carry lower risks and fewer complications, and cause less pain.
An added bonus: the positioning of the implant-supported denture is simulated in 3D prior to implantation, and thanks to the rapid procedure, you’ll spend less time in the dentist’s chair. The process of scanning, planning, and inserting the implant and temporary dentures can be completed in just half a day.
How does 3D guided implant surgery work?
Using three-dimensional X-ray technology, a series of cross-sectional images of your jaw are taken and assembled on a computer to form a 3D model. We can then analyse it in detail from all angles and virtually plan the position, angle, and depth of the implant on the monitor. This allows us to achieve a more precise and, at the same time, more aesthetically pleasing result. Furthermore, the procedure offers you greater security: better use is made of the existing jawbone, and any nearby nerves are spared. The subsequent implantation is carried out using a dynamic 3D navigation system. This allows for interactive guidance of the drill position based on the previously created 3D plan, thus guaranteeing the highest precision.
The benefits at a glance
Gentler on the patient
Less invasive thanks to minimal or no incisions in the gums – less pain, shorter healing time.
3D simulation of the dental prosthesis
The alignment of the implant-supported dental prosthesis is simulated in 3D prior to implantation.
Greater safety
3D visualisation shows nerve pathways and sensitive structures, helping to prevent complications.
Maximum precision
Direct visualisation of the implant site and millimetre-precise placement in terms of position, angle, and depth.
Real-time 3D guidance
Interactive drill guidance enables precise control throughout the entire procedure.
Flexible without surgical guides
All the benefits of guided surgery without the need for complex surgical guides.
Bone grafting can often be avoided
Existing jawbone is used to the full thanks to precise 3D planning.
Shorter treatment time
Scanning, planning, and the procedure can all be conducted in a single session.
